Praga gay

The Czech Republic has become a much more liberal and gay-friendly destination in recent years and the Prague gay scene, mainly centred around the Vinohrady area (close to the city centre), is particularly vibrant and accessible. More than half a dozen new bars or clubs have opened up in the last year alone and there are around 25 gay bars, discos and saunas in the city as a whole.

Homosexuality in the Czech Republic is legal and the minimum age of consent is 15. There are no laws concerning tourists with HIV/AIDS. The number of HIV/AIDS sufferers in the country is low. The Czech Lower House of Parliament recently approved a law allowing gay partnerships. This was later confirmed by the Senate. Although the law still has to be approved and the government is hopeful that it will be passed into law very soon.

This guide to the gay scene features most of the gay discos and bars in Prague. We have also included a number of strip joints which are clearly described. You should be clear that in these places the young Czech boys you meet will be interested only in your wallet and not in your personality. But in many of the other bars and clubs it is possible to meet and get to know normal Czechs people. Prostitution and the promotion of it is legal in the Czech Republic provided the prostitute is at least 18 years old.

The Lesbian scene is limited to just a couple of bars: Street Cafe and Jampa Dampa (neither of which are exclusively Lesbian) but most of the regular bars listed here are welcoming to girls.

Prague has a lively gay scene and the scene is differentiated ... You will find gay bars and dance clubs for a specific audience (like leather bars, rent boy bars, older audience, younger crowd). But, unfortunately, there has never been a Gay Pride in Prague until now.
Prague's nightlife is a 24-hour affair, and everybody's welcome. Gay and lesbian clubs in Prague offer visitors a night of unlimited dancing or an intimate setting for a few friends. First-time visitors to Prague might try Drake's or The Saints first, to check out the gay and lesbian club scene. Termix is larger and Gejzee..r a little sweatier. Friends is a great place to hang out alone or with others. So take your pick and enjoy gay Prague to the fullest when the sun goes down.
