Aeropuerto Praga

Prague-Ruzyne Airport is an international public civilian airport located on the northwest edge of Prague. It is the biggest airport in the Czech Republic and in Central and Eastern Europe as a whole. Gradual and constant growth over the last five years has made it possible to double the number of passengers it serves. Considerable thanks are due to the approximately fifty carriers who operate direct connections, scheduled and occasional, to 103 destinations around the world. In November 2005 the ten millionth passenger passed through Prague Airport, elevating it to the ranks of the Top 20 biggest European airports.

Transportation to and from the Prague Airport
As you get off your flight in Prague, you will have several options of reaching your destination: public transportation, a shuttle company, a taxi, or a pickup previously arranged.

1) Bus
The airport in Prague is serviced by two buses: n° 119 and n° 100. Taking the bus is the cheapest way to get to and from the airport. The ride costs 20 K and both bus stops are easy to find. Bus 119 is the better choice if your destination is in the historical center of Prague (the Old Town, Lesser Town, New Town, Prague Castle area) as it connects with line A of the metro, which will get you to the center in no time (2 - 4 stops, depending on where you're going). To take either of the buses, you will need a public transport ticket for 20 K (transfer ticket) - or you can pay the bus driver directly, in which case you will be charged a small extra fee. Keep in mind that the bus doesn't have much space for luggage, can be crowded in peak times and won't drop you off right at your apartment, so if you have a lot of luggage, you may want to consider using a transfer service or a taxi.

Bus 119
Bus 119 runs between the Ruzyne Airport and Dejvická metro station (line A). Connections run every 7 to 20 minutes and the ride takes 20 minutes.

Traveling from the airport:
Bus 119 leaves from the second platform outside the Arrivals terminal and runs in the morning from 4:20 a.m. until around 12:10 a.m at night. It will take you to the Dejvická metro station, which is the last stop. From there, you can take the metro using the same ticket (watch the time that's passed since the validation) to continue to your destination. Metro stations: Malostranská - Malá Strana, Staromestská - Old Town, Mustek - bottom of Wenceslas Square, Muzeum - top of Wenceslas Square.
Traveling to the airport:
Take the metro to Dejvická (line A). Bus 119 leaves from near the station exit and runs from 4:52 a.m. till 0:18 a.m. The airport is the last stop.

Bus 100
Bus 100 runs between the Ruzyne airport and the Zlicín metro station (line B). The service runs every 15 minutes during the day and every 30 minutes after 7 p.m. and the ride takes 15 minutes.

Traveling from the airport:
Bus 100 runs from 5:45 a.m. until 11:39 p.m. It will take you to the Zlicín metro station, which is the last stop. From there, you can take the metro using the same ticket (watch the time that's passed since the validation) to continue to your destination. Once you get on the metro, expect the ride to take about 20 minutes (11 - 13 stops) to get you into the center.
Traveling to the airport:
Take the metro to Zlicín (line B) and get on bus 100, which runs from 5:30 a.m. until 11:50 p.m. The airport is the last stop.

2) Airport Transfer Companies
Using our Prague airport transfer company is a good option if you'd like a door-to-door service and prefer to arrange for your transfer in advance. Unlike taxi companies, our shuttle company allow you (and require you) to book your airport transfer in advance. You can book your transfer with Dream-flats.com now directly online! (Please check our Additional Services in the right menu).

3) Taxi
First things. Taking a taxi in Prague is not simple business. We strongly discourage you from getting into a random taxi that's parked in front of the airport terminal. If you have to, make sure you confirm the price with the driver in advance. A ride from the Prague airport to a destination in the center should not exceed 600 K. If you have a cell phone and a few minutes to spare, call a reputable taxi company by phone. We've used AAA Radiotaxi exclusively for years and have been very happy with their service and pricing. They have a price map online that shows their prices between the Prague airport and the rest of the city. They currently don't make it possible to book an airport transfer online, so you have to call them after you arrive (140 14 or 222 333 222). Their operators speak English and your taxi will be ready within a few minutes.
