Paris gay
Paris is a city with an open and tolerant attitude, where you can be your own person and there's something for everyone. The capital boasts a myriad of gay or "gay-friendly" addresses, largely to be found in the first “arrondissements” on the Right Bank, around Châtelet and Hôtel de Ville, and at the heart of the Marais district (4th arrondissement).
Paris as an impressive number of gay or lesbian venues. A big part of them are concentrated in the historic heart of the town called Le Marais (the swamp) in the 4th arrondissement. There are most bars, restaurants and shops. And lots of tourists visiting the beautiful historic Marais can see couples of guys or women everywhere and no pay attention.
As the central district called Le Marais is the gay heart of the town, where couples can hold by hands or kiss in the street, lots of places all over the city welcome gays or lesbians without displaying a rainbow flag.
Girls places have seen a great change too and most of them welcome boys, and that's new! The Rue Des Ecouffes, in the south Marais, became quite a lesbian center with bars, shops and even a sex shop for girls only!
Life of Parisian homosexuals is rather nice as they live in a beautiful city and the french population is tolerant for private life matters. There is no problem to walk being held lovingly in the streets of Paris (with, obviously, common sense and decency limits).
