Paris discotheques

Paris is one of Europe's coolest cities, it is in constant motion and knows how to offer visitors countless of occasions for having fun, enjoying themselves and being thrilled - no matter whether during the day or at night.
Paris by night is teaming with life. One of the most lively scenes in Europe with hundreds of clubs, discos, dj bars, jazz clubs and all types of concerts. The buildings on Champs Elysée are a long line of theaters, movie theaters and museums which stay open 'til late. Montparnasse is one of the best places to spend the early part of the evening, with its many restaurants and spots for a cocktail. Pigalle has always been Paris' night spot per excellence with the city's most famous discos, cabarets and jazz clubs. Les Halles is a very lively area, both during the day and late at night. Rue de Faubourg St Antoine is another happening place for Parisian nightlife.
Paris has a diverse nightlife catering to the tastes of both its inhabitants and tourism industry. Going in and out of fashion with every passing year, a few of Paris longer-surviving discotheques are the La Scala, Les Bains-Douches (commonly known as "Les Bains") and La Locomotive ("La Loco"). Paris nightlife had its highest point to date in the late 80's and 90's around its legendary, but now closed, Le Palace discotheque, Paris preferred nightspot for international stars of music and cinema.

"Lounge" bars such as The Buddha Bar and Le Man Ray are a more recent addition to Paris nightlife, but for those with more traditional tastes there are the streetside cafés, bistros and bars often open until 2 am; the more renown of these to date are the La Coupole bistro, the Café Flore and Harry's New York Bar.

Dinner and Show Cabarets are form of entertainment geared mostly to the tourists, and the more famous of these are the Moulin Rouge and the Lido.
