When the Parisian sun sets, nightlife ranges from disco to drag to exotic. Join the hip crowd in the up and coming Bastille district. Rue de Lappe is the place to be seen, while further north the Rue Oberkampf is fast becoming another trendy bar and restaurant hangout. If it's lively pedestrian streets, good food and cultural diversity, we recommend the Latin Quarter. The 'real' Parisians head for the area around the Bastille, with the Barrio Latino bar being a favourite hangout.
But Paris would not be Paris without its extravagant Cabaret shows. The ‘red light’ area is situated in the Pigalle district, and is home to the most famous show of them all – the Moulin Rouge, as well as a whole host of late night bars and clubs.
